You’ll need to send us evidence when you’re applying and during your course so we can check you’re eligible for EMA.

Academic year 2023 to 2024

If you’ve applied online, you’ll be able to submit evidence to us through your online account unless we’ve specifically asked you to return them by post.

If you or your parent(s), guardian(s) or partner completed a paper tax return for the 2021 to 2022 tax year, you may find this guide useful.

You or your parent(s), guardian(s) or partner may have been asked to send financial evidence in support of your application. Or you may have been asked to complete a Financial Details Form. You can download the form and notes here.

The ‘nationality and residency evidence’ guide was updated on 24 July 2022 to include information for those granted leave to enter or remain in the UK under a Ukraine Scheme.
