It’s time for full-time undergraduate students to apply for student finance!

Full-time undergraduate student finance applications for 2026 to 2027 are now open! The easiest way for new students to apply is online through the Student Finance Wales website. It should only take around 30 minutes.

Remember to tell continuing students that they'll need to reapply for student finance, also through their online account (opens in a new tab).

Students can apply for funding even if they don't have a confirmed place on a course yet. They should give us the details of their preferred course and change it later if they need to.

Students who qualify for a Tuition Fee Loan only, should apply using the Tuition Fee Only Student application form.

Part-time undergraduate applications are expected to open from mid-May 2025.

Postgraduate applications are expected to open in June 2026.

What funding is available in 2026 to 2027?
