It’s time for students to apply for student finance!

All full-time undergraduate student finance applications for 2023 to 2024 academic year are now open! The easiest way for new students to apply is online through the Student Finance Wales website. It should only take around 30 minutes.

Remember to tell continuing students that they’ll need to reapply for student finance, also through their online account (opens in a new tab).

You should encourage students to apply before the deadline to make sure their funding is ready for starting their course:

- New students – 26 May
- Returning students – 30 June

Students can apply for funding even if they don’t have a confirmed place on a course yet. They should give us the details of their preferred course and change it later if they need to.

Students who qualify for an EU Tuition Fee Loan only, should apply using the EU Student application form.

Part-time undergraduate applications are expected to open from June 2023.

Postgraduate applications are expected to open from May 2023.
