How much you can get

For a postgraduate Master’s course, you can get up to £18,950 to help with your course and living costs. Find out more about what’s available for Master’s courses.

For a postgraduate Doctoral course, you can get up to £28,655 to help with your course and living costs. Find out more about what’s available for Doctoral courses.

How it’s paid

We’ll pay your money into your bank account in 3 instalments, usually once at the start of each term. If your course lasts for more than a year, the money will be divided equally across each year of your course.

When will applications open?

Applications for postgraduate Master’s and postgraduate Doctoral student finance for 2024 to 2025 are expected to open by the end of June.
