It’s time for students to apply for student finance!

All full-time undergraduate student finance applications for 2024 to 2025 academic year are now open! The easiest way for students to apply is online through the Student Finance Wales website.

Remember to let your continuing students know that they’ll need to re-apply for their funding every year through their online account.

Application deadlines

You should encourage students to apply before the deadline to make sure their funding is ready for starting their course!

- New students – 31 May
- Returning students – 28 June

Students can apply for funding even if they don’t have a confirmed place on a course yet. They should give us the details of their preferred course and change it later if they need to.

Tuition fee only students

Students who qualify for a Tuition Fee Loan only, should apply using the Tuition Fee Loan application form.

Part-time undergraduate and postgraduate applications

Part-time undergraduate applications are expected to open by the end of May 2024.

Postgraduate applications are expected to open by the end of June 2024.
