EU student finance available in 2019/20

Overview of the funding available to new full-time and part-time EU students starting a course in academic year 2019/20.

All 2019/20 figures are subject to approval by the National Assembly for Wales.

Full-time applications for academic year 2019/20 are open and you should apply now.

Part-time applications for academic year 2019/20 are expected to be open late June.

Tuition Fee Loan

You can get a Tuition Fee Loan to cover the fees charged by your university or college. This is paid directly to them. If the tuition fee charged by your university or college is more than the Tuition Fee Loan available, you’ll have to fund the difference yourself (this may be the case for a privately-funded university or college).

How much you can get isn’t based on your household income.
