All students – maximum tuition fee amount

You can apply for a Tuition Fee Loan up to a maximum of £3,575 for your course, depending on when you started and where you’re studying. This isn’t based on your household income.

returning full-time student who started in 2012/13 £3,575
returning full-time student who started in either 2010/11 or 2011/12 and are studying in Wales, Scotland or England £3,465
returning full-time student who started in either 2010/11 or 2011/12 and are studying in Northern Ireland £3,575

Students who normally live in Wales and study anywhere in the UK

The minimum means-tested National Bursary, available to students being charged the full tuition fee and receiving the full Assembly Learning Grant or Special Support Grant, has increased to £347 per year.


Students who normally live in Wales and study in Wales

The minimum means-tested National Bursary, available to students receiving the full Assembly Learning Grant or Special Support Grant, has increased to £347 per year.

The Tuition Fee Grant , available to students who started a course between 2006/07 and 2009/10 (or who were classed as a gap year student in 2010/11), has increased to £2,085 per year.
