You will receive your first payment of ALG (FE) once your school or college confirms you have been in attendance for 2 weeks of your course(s). You will receive payments each term which will be made straight to your bank or building society account.
When Should I Apply?
Straight Away! Your application form should be returned as soon as possible before the start of the academic year. An academic year normally runs from 1 September until 31 August.
If your course(s) runs on a ‘non-standard’ academic year, please contact your learning centre. ‘Non-standard’ courses don’t run from September to August.
For courses running between 1 September 2010 and 31 August 2011.
At the very latest, we need to get your form within 9 months of your course starting. Any evidence must be received within 12 months of your course starting
Please do not delay returning your form to us, even if you don’t have all the evidence available.
