Tuition Fee Grant
- From September 2010 a grant of up to £1,980 will be available to continuing students only who normally live in Wales and who started a higher education course at a Welsh college from academic year 2006/07 to 2009/10, This tuition fee grant is available regardless of family income, and is paid directly to the place of study.
Bursaries
- Welsh Bursary Scheme: Universities and colleges in Wales are committed to providing additional support for students under the Welsh Bursary Scheme. Every full-time higher education student who started their first year of higher education on or after 1 September 2007 regardless of where they come from in the UK, will be considered for a means tested Welsh Bursary. For continuing students the minimum Welsh Bursary will be £329. For new students the bursary rate will be subject to decision regarding the revised National Bursary Framework for Wales.
- Similar arrangements to the Welsh Bursary Scheme, above, are in place elsewhere in the UK. Ask your chosen college for details.
