09/10 Full Time Students
The Guide to Financial Support for Higher Education Students in 2009/2010 (587kb) provides detailed information on all aspects of financial support. You can also find out more information in, Student Loans, A Guide to Terms & Conditions (880kb).
New students wishing to apply for support should complete this application form PN1 (2.20mb) and consult these guidance notes (188kb).
Continuing students should complete this application form PR1 (1.54mb) and refer to these guidance notes (184kb).
Students who have already applied for support and wish to amend the loan amount they requested should complete a Maintenance Loan Request Form(bilingual) (126kb) or those who wish to amend their request for tuition fees should complete a Tuition Fee Loan Request Form (bilingual) (124kb).
Birth/Adoption Certificate Declaration Forms
You must complete and return the Birth/Adoption Certificate Declaration Forms (bilingual) (152kb) if you are sending your Birth or Adoption Certificate as proof of your identity when applying for student finance. This form contains two separate declarations. The Declaration of Identity form must be signed by yourself to confirm your identity. The Identity Confirmation form is to verify your identity and must be completed by a person of good standing in the community who has known you for at least two years.

Disabled Students Allowance
If you have completed or are completing your application for student finance and you also want to apply for Disabled Students' Allowances, you should complete the slimline version of the DSA1 form (564kb).
Students wishing to apply for the Disabled Students Allowance only should complete a DSA1 form (302kb) and consult these guidance notes (376kb).

If you are eligible for DSA, Student Finance Wales will send you a letter confirming which of your expenses have been approved, so that you can be reimbursed. Your expenses may include travel, books in Braille and accommodation. You should use the following form to claim these costs back DSA Claim Form (117 kb).
