You will receive your first payment of ALG (FE) once your school or college confirms you have been in attendance for 2 weeks of your course. You will receive payments each term which will be made straight to your bank or building society account.
When to Apply
Your application form should be returned as soon as possible before the start of the academic year. An academic year normally runs from 1 September until 31 August.

For courses running between 1 September 2008 and 31 August 2009, forms must be returned by 31 May 2009, at the very latest. Forms will be available here or from your school or college in the springtime.
