Student Loans Repayment Calculator

You have indicated that you started in Higher Education after September 1998 and are therefore likely to come within the Income Contingent Repayment system.

This means that you will repay your loan based on your income. You may, of course, choose to make extra repayments at any time and so repay your loan earlier. However, this calculator does not take account of any such voluntary payments – it will indicate only those repayments which will be collected on the basis of your income.

For an estimate of what your repayments will be, please answer the questions below.

Please note that where you are asked for your gross annual salary, this is your initial salary providing it is above the repayment threshold. Currently the threshold salary level is £15,000. If you indicate that your salary will be below £15,000, the calculator will advise that you will not make any repayments.

If you are self-employed or intend to be self-employed then you should insert your estimated annual gross taxable income.
